The Democratic Party of the United States of America  is suing Russia, the Trump campaign and the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks for conspiring to disrupt the 2016 presidential election. The 66-page complaint, filed in the federal court of New York, uses the publicly known facts of the investigation into Russia’s election meddling to accuse Trump’s associates of illegally working with Russian intelligence agents to interfere with the outcome of the election. In the document, the democrats have accused the Republicans and the Russians of “an act of previously unimaginable treachery,” The New York Times reports. "In the Trump campaign, Russia found a willing and active partner in this effort" to disrupt the presidential election, the Democratic committee alleges. Judge John G. Koeltl, a Clinton appointee, will preside over the case. However, the Trump campaign said the lawsuit was without merit and would be dismissed. Donald Trump and Russia has repeatedly denied the allegations allegations of collusion.
