Russia says chemical weapons inspectors in Syria are to be permitted to visit the site of an alleged chemical attack on Wednesday (April 18).
The team has reportedly been in the country since Saturday (April 14) but was not given permission to visit Douma. An attack on the 7
th of April attack prompted military strikes on Syrian government targets by the UK, US, and France a week later.
Syria denies any chemical attack took place stating it was “staged”. According to Syrian state media, the country's air defenses had responded to a missile attack over the western city of Homs.
