Russia threathens US not to meddle with Syria

Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin stressed if the US fire missiles at Syria they will be shot down and the launch site will be targeted as well. He expressed these views in an interview held with Hezbollah-owned al-Manar TV on Tuesday (10 April). During the interview, he also said Russia has made progress freeing many of the Syrian rebel-held strongholds. The Russians ambassador to Lebanon further said that Russia would not hesitate to take military actions against the US if US target Syria, endangering lives of Russian military personals. US and other European countries point the finger at the Syrian government and Russia for using chemical weapons against Syrians and killing scores civilians including children. However, the Syrian government and Russia deny that Douma, the last rebel-held stronghold near Damascus was attacked with chemical weapons.
