The star of the 1985 high school drama “The Breakfast Club”, Molly Ringwald has admitted that she finds some of the scenes in the movie hard to watch now. Writing to the New Yorker, Ringwald said she re-evaluated the film after her 10-year-old daughter requested to watch the movie. "I worried she would find aspects of it troubling, but I hadn't anticipated that it would ultimately be most troubling to me." The movie is a critical and a commercial hit directed by John Hughes and tells the story of five different teens who are forced to spend Saturday in detention together. The 50-year-old actress made clear that one scene from the movie nagged at her after a number of women came forward with sexual assault accusations against the producer Harvey Weinstein, and the #MeToo movement gathered steam.
