Police crack down on associates of Makandure Madush and Angoda Lokka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Four associates of underworld leaders Makandure Madush and Angoda Lokka were arrested by the Mirihana Special Investigations Unit, today (April 7). The arrests were made when the Mirihana Police Special Investigations Unit raided a house in Himbutana, Angoda during the earlier hours of the day. A locally manufactured revolver which is capable of using T56 bullets, 10 T56 bullets, 2 kilograms of Kerala Ganja worth Rs. 2 million, a live hand grenade, a gas mask and 11 mobile phones were seized by the Police. When journalists questioned Police Media Spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekera, on the whereabouts of underworld leaders Makandure Madush and Angoda Lokka, he said Angoda Lokka is residing in India while Madush is in Dubai. He added that the two criminals are operating drug rings in India and Dubai as well.
