Kabir Hashim resigns as General Secretary of UNP

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister Kabir Hashim has stated he has resigned as General Secretary of the United National Party.
Speaking to News1st, Minister Hashim said he handed his letter of resignation to party leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
He added he decided to resign to allow the implementation of the proposals set by the party's reform committee.
