COLOMBO (News 1st) -The march in support of the no-confidence motion will continue for the third day from Nelumdeniya to Nittambuwa today (2nd April). Organised by the Organization to Protect the United National Party and the United National Freedom Front the march began from Kandy on 31st March and reached Mawanella on the first day. The activists continued to show their support for the no-confidence motion yesterday (1st April) walking down from Mawanella to Nelumdeniya. Today (2nd April), they will continue to march from Nelumdeniya to Nittambuwa and tomorrow (3rd April) they are scheduled to reach Kiribathgoda. On April 4th, when the no-confidence motion will be taken up for a vote in parliament, the march is scheduled to reach Colombo. Speaking at the march, the Secretary of the Organization to Protect the United National Party, Maithri Gunaratne said through the bond scam billions of rupees have been stolen by the government and the people should stand against the Prime Minister for stealing their wealth. Further, he said if the Prime Minister stays in power the country's situation will become even worse.
