Tax concession on imported rice valid till next month

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Cost of Living Committee has decided to extend the time period of the tax concession granted on imported rice, by another month. Accordingly, the tax concession will now be valid till the end of next month (April). The Cost of Living Committee said this step was taken in order to control the prices of rice from increasing during the upcoming festive season.
