"Water wastage can be reduced by 30%" - Water Board

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says the wastage of water in the Colombo Municipality limits can be reduced by 30%. It Chairman, Alahudeen Ansar said around 45% of water was wasted as the pipelines within the Colombo city is over 110 years old. Ansar further noted that old pipelines are currently being replaced with new lines to avoid leakages of water.
