COLOMBO (News 1st) – What is a Science Laboratory? It is a place to experience things that amaze you. Children at school eagerly wait for the moment they get to go to the science laboratory to experiment on various things. Today (March 19) students of St. Patrick's College, Jaffna had their dream come true to them. A Science laboratory to experiment and have fun. The event was attended by President Maithripala Sirisena, Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan, Chief Minister of Northern Province C.V. Wigneshwaran, Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith and several other dignitaries. Speaking at the event President Maithripla Sirirsena stated that there is a question as to how many politicians are there in this country who actually love the country. He said that they have come up with their own agendas to make their own political gains and that their main concern is not to resolve the issues in the country nor create national unity among communities. “They only want to come into power somehow or the other. There is a need for politicians who truly want to resolve the issues in the country. The people are not interested in who will be the next President or Prime Minister.” - President Maithripala Sirisena Following the event, appointments were given to 197 graduates of the Northern Province. https://www.facebook.com/NewsfirstSL/videos/1881508641909385/
