Senior journalist Chethana Liyanage launches book "Nokiyu Pravurthi"

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A book titled "Nokiyu Pravurthi" authored by senior journalist Chethana Liyanage, was launched at the Foundation Institute in Colombo today (March 15). Chethana Liyanage’s memoir was launched under the patronage of Emeritus Professor J. B. Disanayake. Chethana, who gained fame as an Anchor on News1st, is the youngest daughter of veteran journalist Gunadasa Liyanage. Today's ceremony began with a memorial of the late Gunadasa Liyanage. The book launch coincides with the 20th anniversary of the veteran journalist's death. The event saw the participation of a number of people including senior journalists, politicians and artists.
