COLOMBO (News 1st) – President Maithripala Sirisena called on Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe today (March 14).

President Sirisena and Prime Minister Abe held talks at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Tokyo.

The Leaders discussed a number of matters including promoting investment opportunities in Sri Lanka as well as further enhancing relations between the two countries.

President Maithripala Sirisena, who is on a state visit to Japan, made an observation tour of a modern waste management centre in Shinagawa in Tokyo this morning.
