"All cosmetic products to be regulated" - National Medicines Regulatory Authority

COLOMBO (News1st) - The National Medicines Regulatory Authority has taken measures to regulate all types of local and imported cosmetic products, from today onwards. It's CEO, Dr. Kamal Jayasinghe said under the new regulation, cosmetic products will not be allowed to be imported, manufactured and distributed without the authority's permission. Dr. Kamal Jayasinghe added that officers of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority will be deployed to look into institutes that will import, manufacture and distribute cosmetic products without permission.
