12 hour curfew imposed in Kandy administrative district lifted

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The 12-hour curfew which was imposed in the Kandy administrative district was lifted at 6 am this morning. Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara, the Police Media Spokesperson, said that currently the situation in the area is observed to be peaceful. In a media brief which was held yesterday (08^th March) Kandy District Secretary, H.M.P. Hitisekara said that the measures will be taken to assess the damages caused to properties due to the unrest that occurred in the area.
