COLOMBO (News 1st) – The 12-hour curfew which was imposed in the Kandy administrative district was lifted at 6 am this morning. Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara, the Police Media Spokesperson, said that currently the situation in the area is observed to be peaceful.
In a media brief which was held yesterday (08th March) Kandy District Secretary, H.M.P. Hitisekara said that the measures will be taken to assess the damages caused to properties due to the unrest that occurred in the area.
