Shots fired in Kotahena over a ransom incident

Due to a ransom incident, three persons have been injured in a shooting which took place in the Hettiyawatta area in Kotahena. The wounded have been admitted to the National Hospital, police stated. Police further stated that two people who arrived on a motorbike had opened fired and then fled the scene. A senior police officer in charge of Colombo, noted that the shooting took place in connection with an incident where a ransom was not received.
