Movie world celebrates 90th Oscar Anniversary

The most prestigious event which is annually presented in the movie world, The Oscars, commenced on 4^th March at 9.00pm US time in the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, Hollywood. The Oscars, similarly referred as the Academy Awards is celebrating the 90^th Anniversary this year.Oscars is hosted every year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Academy is made up of a 6,000 film industry related professionals such as actors, directors, and producers. The 90^th Academy Award winners are as follows. Best Picture: The Shape of Water Directed by Guillermo del Toro Best Actor: Gary Oldman for Darkest Hour Best Actress: Frances McDormand for Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri Best Director: Guillermo del Toro for The Shape of Water Best Supporting Actor: Sam Rockwell for Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri Best Supporting Actress: Allison Janney for I, Tonya Best Original Screenplay: Get Out The first Academy Awards took place at a private dinner in 1929 at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. The founding member of the Moon Picture Academy, Hollywood actor Douglas Fairbanks hosted the award ceremony.
