Indian cricket team arrives in Sri lanka to play for tri-nation tournament

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Indian cricket team arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (04th March) to take part in the Nidahas Trophy T20 Tri-Nation Series from the 06th March to the 18th March. Rohit Sharma, the opening batsman captains the Indian cricket team for this tournament. Key Indian players such as Virat Kohli, Mahendra Sing Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and Buwanesh Kumar will not be playing the series as they are being rested following the recently completed South African tour. The opening match of the tournament will be played at the Colombo R. Premadasa Stadium on the 06th March between host nation Sri Lanka and India. The Nidahas Trophy T20 Tri-Nation Series between India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka is played to mark the 70th independence day celebrations of Sri Lanka.
