Special team to investigate Puttalam Explosion

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - A special team has been assigned with the task of investigating the explosion which took place at a scrap iron yard in Paalaviya, Puttalam today (March 4), says the Police. Furthermore, they stated that the team is operating under the supervision of an ASP. Police suspect that the explosion may have been caused by a claymore mine. The government analyst is due to begin investigations tomorrow (March 5) and meanwhile, the police special team has been assigned to provide protection for the area. According to the Police Media Spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekara, a youth of 27 years died due to the explosion.
