President pledges to provide job opportunities for unemployed graduates

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena has pledged to enforce the program to provide job opportunities to all unemployed graduates in a period of six months. He stated this at an event in Batticaloa today (March 3) where teaching appointments were presented to 200 Graduates and 40 Diploma holders. Speaking at the Weber Stadium in Batticaloa, President stated that within the next two months the applications of unemployed graduates will be reviewed and interviews will be called. Furthermore, he stated that the Governor of Batticaloa has informed him of certain road development projects in the Batticaloa district and the Eastern district have been stalled, however, he stated that the projects have been approved. President Sirisena also stated that Ministers Ameer and Hizbullah informed him of the same. Further, most of the letters relate to issues of employment, housing, roads, lands, drinking water and others. “ It does change based on the province.
