Heavy winds displace 100 families in Kalmunei

COLOMBO (News 1^st)- Prevailing strong winds in Periyaneelavanai, Kalmunei has damaged around thirty houses in the area.   According to the Disaster Management Center, around 100 families are displaced following the weather conditions. The Ampara District Disaster Management Center says the affected people are placed in a school of the area. Relief measures are being taken at present for the people affected by the on-going weather conditions.
