Thalangama Shooting: Man dead after sustaining injuries

COLOMBO (News1st) - Update : The 51 year-old, who was admitted after being shot in Thalangama died after sustaining injuries. He was pronounced dead after receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital. A married couple has sustained injuries in a shooting incident that took place in a house in the Balapatha, Thalangama. According to the police, two people who had arrived on a motorcycle on Sunday morning (February 18) had broken into the house and fled after carrying out the shooting. The victims are a 51 year-old man and his wife a 48 year-old woman. The injured have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. The police stated that two ammunition used for a pistol and three blank cartridges were found at the location. Investigations have been initiated by the Thalangama Police in order to arrest the suspects.
