COLOMBO (News1st) – The supply of water to many areas in Colombo will be suspended for a period of 24 hours from 9 a.m. today.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said the measure is being taken in order to carry out maintenance work.

Chairman of the Board, Alahudeen Ansar, said the supply of water will be interrupted in Colombo 1, Colombo 2, Colombo 3, Colombo 4, Colombo 7, Colombo 8, Colombo 9, Colombo 10 and Colombo 11 areas.

He added, Colombo 12 and Colombo 13 will receive water under a very low pressure during the 24 hour period.
