The limited-edition Aston Martin Vanquish owned by Actor Daniel Craig, better known for his role ‘007 – James Bond’ is being auctioned off.

This specific car was made for Craig by Aston Martin four years ago.

Flagship Aston Martin cars have appeared in Bond films for over the past 50 years.

It all started with the 1964’s “Goldfinger”. Then-James Bond Sean Connery driving the gorgeous silver Aston Martin DB5 made it a an instant legend.

The brand has been affiliated with the flamboyant british spy ever since, and has appeared in all four Bond films starring Craig.

The car

This limited-edition Vanquish, Craig’s personal car, was build to celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary.

Out of the 100 cars built, Craig’s car is, naturally, number 007.

Dressed in a midnight blue exterior and a dark blue luxury leather interior, this car has been built to Craig’s own preference.

The car’s value is estimated at (US)$400,000 to (US)$600,000.

It will be displayed at Christie’s showroom in Los Angeles from February 27th to March 3rd before moving to New York, where it will be auctioned on April 20 as part of Christie’s annual decorative arts masterpiece sale called “The Exceptional Sale”.

What happens to the money?

Proceeds from the sale will benefit “The Opportunity Network”, a New York-based charity which helps students from disadvantaged communities achieve their college and career goals.

Daniel Craig announced in 2017 that he will reprise the role of James Bond, one last time.

The film is expected to be released in U.S. cinemas on Nov. 8, 2019.
