Hundred and sixty members of the Angoda National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) have been given the opportunity to vote in the upcoming local government polls.
This opportunity is given to those have been rejected from their families and still remain at NIMH even though they have recovered from their mental illnesses.
Consultant Psychiatrist of NIMH, Dr. Jayan Mendis, said the opportunity to vote in the local government polls was granted in response to a request forwarded to the National Elections Commission.
