The CPC said investigations are currently underway. The raid was carried out last night by a special unit of the CPC. According to the CPC, the filling station will be sealed until investigations conclude.
They further noted, the CPC incurs a loss of Rs. 30 per litre of kerosene.
Chairman of the CPC, Dhammika Ranatunga said despite the loss, kerosene is sold in an attempt to provide concessions for the general public, and such incidents of this nature will be closely monitored in the future.
