Australian Cricket coach Darren Lehmann has made a statement yesterday, December 25, that he will step down from his position after the 2019 Ashes series in England.
The 47-year-old who was named as the coach for the Australian team in the year 2013, will lead Australia’s World Cup defense in England before they attempt to win an away Ashes series for the first time since 2001.
Coach Lehmann stated that he enjoyed the role but at that point, after the Ashes series, he would walk away as “too much time and too much travel” were involved.
