Offices to inquire into complaints received with regard to the local government election will be established at district level today, December 15.
According to the Election Commission, these offices will be established under the National Complaints Coordination Centre. Furthermore, officials attached to the Elections Commission and police have been deployed to these offices.
The Commission states that steps will be taken to establish complaints offices in areas where complaints are lodged.Meanwhile, nominations for 93 local government bodies ended yesterday, December 14.
Seven complaints have been received regarding the election where six of those complaints were lodged yesterday, December 14.
