According to the latest weather report issued by the Met Department, another low level atmospheric disturbance has formed to the South-east of Sri Lanka, resulting in a continuation of the prevailing showery and cloudy conditions.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in most parts of the country.
The Department added that fairly heavy falls of about 75-100mm can be expected at some places, particularly in the Eastern, Uva, Northern, North-central, Southern and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.
Moreover, fairly strong gusty winds of about 50 kmph can be expected in the Northern, North-central, North-western and Eastern Provinces.
The Met Department added that misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, during the morning. Landslide warnings have been issued to Matale and Kandy districts.
