President Sirisena’s meeting with South Korean President paves way for long-standing ties

President Maithripala Sirisena met South Korean President Moon Jae-in during his official three-day visit to the country.

According to the President’s media unit, prior to the official meeting, which is scheduled for tomorrow, President Sirisena was welcomed by his counterpart in South Korea, President Moon Jae-in.

President Sirisena visited the Jogyesa Temple in Seoul, along with the country’s president Jae-in today, November 28, as part of the first event of his visit.

South Korean President, during the event, pointed out the many diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and the Republic of Korea will take place in the near future.

President Sirisena expressed his gratitude in paying respects to the Sacred Relics at the Jogyesa Temple that was placed by Anagarika Dharmapala back in 1913.
