A meeting is set to take place between the Joint Opposition and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, to discuss possibilities of contesting under the same ticket at the upcoming Local Government Elections.
General Secretary to the United People’s Freedom Alliance, Mahinda Amaraweera, said ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa and Lasantha Ailagiyawanna will be representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party at today’s meeting.
Former minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said, he will, together with MPs Pavithra Wanniarachchi and C. B. Ratnayake, participate at the meeting representing the Joint Opposition.
