Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has visited the Galle district to make inquiries on the Gintota incident.
Minister of Law and Order Sagala Ratnayake and IGP Pujith Jayasundara accompanied the PM on his visit.
“Do not worry about whether they are Sinhalese or Muslim. We must enforce the law correctly” – said the PM during the visit.
“When major development is coming here it is a shame to burn everything down. A minor incident is enough to drive tourists away”
According to a statement issued by PM’s office, Minister Sagala Ratnayake has been instructed to provide a ‘comprehensive report’ on what took place two days ago (November 17).
