Police conducted a raid which covered all police divisions in Sri Lanka. The raid commenced at 11 p.m. and ended around 3 a.m. on Saturday, November 11.

The raid was carried out by 16,362 police officers, under the directive of IGP Pujith Jayasundara.

During the raid:

• 5744 vehicles were checked
• 962 persons were arrested on suspicion
• 948 raids were carried out to crack down on illicit liquor
• 758 warranted suspects were arrested
• 86 suspects of criminal activities were apprehended
• three weapons were discovered
