A foreigner named Adam Kelwick Live Streamed a video on Facebook, saying he is being harassed by a group of people claiming to be Police Officers.
In a series of posts on his Facebook account, Kelwick took swings at Sri Lanka Police, and the law.
Kelwick was returning from Sri Pada when he was stopped by a vehicle carrying the plate CAE – 1114.
A man, claiming to be from the Criminal Investigations Department said he was stopped under suspicion for transporting cocaine.
Later Police recovered 3.7 Kilograms of Agarwood from Adam Kelwick, which Kelwick says he bought the Agarwood from Ratnapura.
It is illegal in Sri Lanka to sell or carry Agarwood, which is locally known as ‘Wallapatta’.
