The All Ceylon Teachers’ Association allege that the procedures to promote over 100,000 teachers in the country has been stalled.

General Secretary of the Association, Joseph Stalin, noted that the reason was the failure to establish a new mechanism to promote teachers.

Newsfirst’s attempts to contact the Minister of Education, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, for a comment proved futile.
