The Yala National Park, which was temporarily closed due to the prevalent dry weather taking a toll on its eco systems, reopened for public visiting today.

According to the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Wildlife, the reopening of the Yala National Park has also received the approval of the Prime Minister.

However, the number of vehicles that will be allowed to enter the park will be limited.

Accordingly, the Ministry adds that measures have been taken to allow only 450 vehicles into the park daily.

The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Wildlife also added that strict legal action would be taken against those who act in a manner that would disturb wildlife and damage property at the park.
