The Met Department says that prevailing showers over the Southwestern parts of the country are expected to continue, and fairly strong winds can be expected over the country tomorrow.
The department adds that afternoon thundershowers could increase gradually from Monday, October 23.
Showers or thundershowers (between 75-100mm) are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Southern Provinces.
The Met Department added that several spells of showers will also occur in the Northern province and in the Anuradhapura District.
The Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Centre, Pradeep Kodippili has advised residents in landslide prone areas in Eheliyagoda and Kuruwita to remain vigilant.
