A flood gate at the Kukule Ganga Reservoir has been opened owing to heavy rains.

Assistant Director of the Disaster Managment Centre, Pradeep Kodippili warned residents residing in low lying areas to remain vigilant.

Landslide warnings have also been issued to the areas falling under the purview of the Eheliyagoda and Kuruwita divisional Secretariats in the Ratnapura District.
