The Fort Magistrate ordered that Chairman of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd., Shalila Moonesinghe, who was arrested yesterday over an alleged fraud of USD 1.1 million from a Taiwanese bank, and J.C. Nammuni be remanded until October 25.
The magistrate ordered the CID to carry out further questioning for investigations to be carried out in remand custody. In the meantime, it was revealed in courts that the suspects are British citizens, with J.C. Nammuni having dual citizenship.
