Motor accidents have resulted in many tragedies all over the world. And in Sri Lanka, it’s no different.
Over one thousand and seven hundred people have died from motor accidents during the first seven months of 2017 alone.
In the time-frame starting from January 1, 2017 up to July 31, 2017 – 533 pedestrians have been killed in motor accidents, says the National Council for Road Safety.
The NCRS also says that over 580 motor-cyclists have died during the period, while 106 others have died while travelling on the passenger seat of motor-cycles.
According to the National Council for Road Safety, over 250 passengers and 142 drivers have also died due to motor accidents.
