Hand grenades discovered in Braybrooke Street, detonated

According to the police, samples of the three hand grenades discovered in a car park on Braybrooke Street, Colombo 2, have been forwarded to the Government Analyst for further investigation.

The grenades were discovered in a car park belonging to the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.

Police presented facts regarding the discovery to the Magistrate’s Court and the court ordered the Police Special Task Force to destroy the grenades. The grenades were then detonated in Modara.

No suspects have been identified regarding the incident as yet. Investigations are continuing.
