The Public Utilities Commission informs the public to lodge complaints with regard to damages caused as a result of electricity failures reported across the country in the past few days.

Power supply was hampered in several areas of the country as a result of the strike action carried out by trade unions attached to the Ceylon Electricity Board.

Activities at many houses, shops and businesses were interrupted due to these power failures.

Director General of Public Utilities Commission, Damitha Kumarasinghe said that such complaints should be submitted to the Ceylon Electricity Board in writing.
