India beat Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs in the third and final test in Pallekele, to complete a 3-0 whitewash of the hosts.
India, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, posted a first innings total of 487, to which Sri Lanka responded with 135 runs, giving the visitors a mammoth 352-run lead.
After being made to follow on by Indian skipper Virat Kohli, the Sri Lankan batting line up slumped and were only able to put up 181 in their second innings.
