Examinations Dept observes increase in ‘A’ grades

The Examinations Department says that 8,224 students who sat for the 2016 GCE Ordinary Level Examination have received As for all nine subjects.

Last year,  only 6,102 students received 9As.

In addition, the percentage of students who passed Mathematics has increased by 7.63% compared to last year and is at 62.81%.

Meanwhile, the Examinations Department said that only 69.94% of the students who sat for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination last year are eligible to sit for the GCE Advanced Level Examination.
