President Maithripala Sirisena has requested all Sri Lankan expatriates to not be misled by false propaganda against the government. Sri Lanka will be built as a developed country, while safeguarding the freedom and its independence, emphasised President Sirisena.
The Head of State added that the government’s aim is to create co-existence among the people. To avoid another war in the future -by establishing permanent peace.
The president was speaking at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Indonesia, where he is on a three-day official visit. He is currently taking part in the opening session of the Leaders’ Summit of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA)
Incidentally, it has been four decades since a Sri Lankan leader received an official invitation to visit Indonesia.
