The Police FCID has informed court that all reports regarding the land in southern Colombo, Mount Lavinia have been referred to the Attorney General.
The case was taken up in court again today, Monday,January 23. The land in Mihindu Mawatha was given (allegedly) to Yoshitha Rajapaksa by his grandmother.
FCID also requested the court to order the co-operation of the defendant while surveying the land in question.
Court is set to reconvene on May 22, 2017.
The petition filed by the wife of disappeared journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda has been laid by -by the Court of Appeal. Sandhya Ekneligoda filed the petition seeking a writ of ‘habeas corpus‘.
The petition was laid by, while lifting the injunction issued in October 2015, halting the inquest at the Homagama Magistrate’s Court.
The inquest into the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda will now continue at the Homagama Magistrate’s Court.
