The Ministry of Public Administration and Management has said that they will take strict action against officers who did not report to duty as per the new transfers.

Secretary J.A. Rathnasiri said that steps are being taken to obtain a report on the officers concerned.

On January 1, a number of public administration officers were given transfers based on service requirements.

The secretary noted that though they were asked to complete the transfers within the course of a week since the appointments were made, some of the officers still report to work from the offices they were previously stationed at.
