One hundred and ninety four (194) man-power employees who served as meter-readers attached to the Ceylon Electricity Board will continue their strike action opposite the Ministry of Power and Renewable energy on Saturday, January 07.
The group began the protest six days ago.
Chairman of the Discriminated Meter-Readers Collective Priyantha Wickremasinghe said, 180 employees have been removed from service citing the fact that they have not completed the required service period.
