As per the proposal included in the order paper by the Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, each member of Parliament will receive Rs.100,000 per month, from January 1, to cover the cost of maintaining an office.
In addition, the attendance allowance of Rs.500 paid to each MP for attending a sitting of parliament, has been increased to Rs.2,500.
