Police fired tear gas at a group of former local government members representing the Joint Opposition who are staging a protest at the parliamentary roundabout.

Police resorted to this measure when the group of demonstrators attempted to enter the parliamentary road.

The demonstration was staged citing the failure to hold local government elections
