The New world number-1,Andy Murray kicked off his campaign at the ATP World Tour Finals with a remarkable 6-3 6-2 victory over Croatian Marin Cilic at the O2 Arena on Monday

The home-crowd gave a euphoric welcome for the 29-year old as he strode on to the blue court for his first match since officially taking top spot.Murray wrapped up a 20th consecutive victory with a flourish to join Japan’s Kei Nishikori at the top of the John McEnroe group after he beat Stan Wawrinka earlier

Murray needs to out-do Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, winner for the past four years at the ATP World Tour Finals on London  to ensure that he finishes the year on top
